Example: Don’t Let AnyOne Tell You,”You Can’t Do…”
By Erik Canady on April 30th, 2009
I actually was in the middle of preparing for a client when I was interrupted by an email I received from one of my mentors. Inside the subject line of the email he dared me, “Erik, I bet you can’t stop the goose bumps after seeing this video I am sending you?”
Thinking to myself, “Goosebumps? I am as tough as they come. He knows me better than that.” Not knowing what the video was about I reluctantly clicked the link to watch the video. After watching this 7 minute video, boy was I shocked. Now I want to give you the same challenge my mentor gave me. “I bet you can’t stop the goose bumps”.
This YouTube video has already been viewed over 48 plus million times across the world. Over 250,000 folks have given it a 5 star rating. If you can spare 7 minutes, I promise you’ll be at least entertained but at most inspired.
Grab your mouse and click the play button right now. After viewing the short video, make sure you come back to read the rest of this post
When I watched this video, I congratulated Susan for her performance, composure and tenacity. But I realized the feelings running through my body had more to do with my own battles with doubters. Susan Boyle’s 7 minute performance epitomizes the pursuit of wealth for many Middle Class Americans who were told and/or lead to believe they’re of the wrong race, gender or educational background.
When you hear that little voice inside your head trying to sabotage your pursuit of riches, think of Susan Boyle and how she shocked and inspired the entire world. It could be you!

Warning: If you don’t have a sense of humor, DO NOT WATCH the video.

Think about your credit report and credit score. Does the thought make you cringe? If so, what are you doing to change it? If your answer is ‘nothing,’ then you need to take the time repairing your credit. Why spend time to rebuild your credit? Because you need a good credit score to get the loan you need to purchase a house, buy a car or even for rent a car for that matter. I
It’s a fact that in today’s shaky economy, you need excellent credit to qualify for credit. But, after you qualify, your credit score will determine the interest rate you pay on that loan or credit card. The higher your credit score, the lower your interest rate will be.
So, you understand the importance of fixing your credit, but you don’t know where to start. Luckily, there are resources (like this article) that can assist you with rebuilding your credit score. Over the years, however, financial companies like mortgage lenders and banks have learned that their customers
are savvier about their financial situation and have put false information out there to keep consumers from repairing their credit.
Why would they want to sabotage their customers? (more…)

Tax Day was yesterday and boy was it one to remember. I am sure you’ve probably heard by now, Tax Day turned into Tea Day. Reports claim over 250,000 Americans gathered around the country to protest against government spending. While browsing the web this morning I came across a very interesting video I wanted to share with you.
As you watch this video below, you’ll see how CNN reporter Susan Roesgen almost loses it in the middle of her interview. She almost breaks the cardinal rule of reporting which is to not show passion or invoke your personal opinion on what you are reporting.
But who can blame her. Taxes, which is one of the two arch enemies of wealth building (the other is (more…)
